A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints

Be aware, this movie is not what you might think it is.  It is not a pious look at the life of the saints, or how one answers the call to sainthood.  This movie is a gritty and sometimes disturbing coming of age story about a boy and his friends in a tough neighborhood in New York.  Featuring some heavy hitters – Robert Downey Jr., Shla LaBeouf, Rosario Dawson, and Channing Tatum – this film explores the reality of the cycle of violence and the importance of surrounding yourself with friends who will help you to move forward in life, rather than weigh one down.
